Target group
Are you (on your way to becoming) a bank employee? Then the knowledge provided in the Banking Fundamentals (English) course is essential. This course was developed for (new) employees in the banking industry and for employees in supporting areas of expertise, like IT specialists. The course is also of importance to commercial supporters, compliance officers and auditors.
Preliminary training
No special preliminary training is required for this course.

You will follow the course via e-learning. You determine your own study pace. The average duration of this course is 2 months.
Course materials
You will be supplied with the latest literature and receive access to a modern online learning environment. This online learning platform includes everything that is required for your training.

Goal and structure
This banking course aims to provide you with a basic understanding of the operations of a bank and the products they offer. You will get to know a bank’s main purpose and gain insight into the organisation of the banking industry. You will also learn about the scope and purpose of certain products banks offer to private individuals and companies.
E-learning
You participate in the program via e-learning. You study online in your own time and at your own pace, under the supervision of a teacher who can answer all your questions.

Exam training

The exam training will be scheduled between the end of the course and the actual exam. This way you are sure you are well prepared for the official exam. Interested? You can register for the exam training via the online learning environment that is part of your study.
Exam and diploma
This course is completed by sitting a digital exam. Upon passing this test, you will be awarded the NIBE-SVV diploma ‘Banking Fundamentals (English)’.
